What is Foods Connected?
Foods Connected is a software platform for the food industry that holds supplier, quality, production and compliance data in one place, with built-in reporting and AI on top.
Who is Foods Connected built for?
Foods Connected is built for medium-to-large food manufacturers, retailers and foodservice and QSR operators running complex, high-risk supply chains. Technical, quality, procurement and sustainability teams work from one shared record instead of spreadsheets, email and disconnected tools.
What does the Foods Connected platform do?
Foods Connected covers five connected solutions: Approval & Compliance, Food Safety & Quality, NPD & Specifications, Sustainability, and Procurement & Sourcing. Reporting, analytics and AI sit across all five, so a change anywhere in the product lifecycle or supply chain is visible in every other part.
Does Foods Connected include reporting and analytics?
How does Foods Connected help with supplier approval and compliance?
Foods Connected runs supplier onboarding and approval on one two-sided network, where suppliers maintain their own records, so approval takes days, not months. AI flags high-risk suppliers early, and more than 70,000 suppliers are already on the platform.
Which food safety standards and regulations does Foods Connected support?
Foods Connected helps businesses hold the evidence for the schemes, regulations and retailer requirements their sites are audited against, including BRCGS, SALSA, IFS, SQF, FSSC 22000, GFSI and retailer codes of practice. It also gathers supplier sustainability data, including animal welfare and EUDR deforestation data.
Does Foods Connected replace an existing ERP?
No. Foods Connected complements the ERP rather than replacing it. The ERP stays the system of record for orders, stock and finance, while Foods Connected holds the verified supplier, specification, quality and compliance data and keeps both in step. The platform is integration-agnostic, with a proven integration to SAP.
Can AI assistants and Power BI be used with Foods Connected data?
Yes. Foods Connected includes built-in reporting and integrates with Microsoft Power BI. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini can also query the data over the open Model Context Protocol (MCP). AI access is read-only and runs as the individual user, and every answer shows its working so it can be checked.
Is Foods Connected secure?
Yes. Foods Connected is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the international standard for information security management, and is independently penetration-tested. Access is controlled by role, and AI assistant access is read-only and runs as the individual user.
How long does Foods Connected take to implement?
It depends on how many suppliers and sites there are and how much existing data is brought across. The Foods Connected team plans the rollout with the customer and supports each step, so a first group of suppliers or one site can go first, with expansion from there.
How much does Foods Connected cost?
Foods Connected is priced to each customer's requirements rather than sold as fixed packages. The quote reflects the solutions needed, the sites and teams, the supplier network, integrations and support. A business can start with one solution and add more as it grows. Book a demo or request a tailored quote to get started.
