The challenge

Most food businesses can’t see their supply chain as one picture.

Supplier, quality, production and compliance data sits in spreadsheets, inboxes and each team’s own tools. Pulling it together takes days, and by then it is out of date.

The solution

Foods Connected reporting sits on top of the data your teams already work in, so everyone, from the facility floor to the board, works from one live view.

Every team, a different view

Data stays in silos. Each team holds its own view, and procurement, quality and technical rarely see the same supplier the same way.

Reports that disagree

Reports built by hand from several sources can disagree, so time goes on checking figures before anyone can act on them.

Risk out of sight

Risk is accepted without being seen. If a supplier’s audit, certificate or performance data is out of view, the business is carrying risk it does not know about.

Time lost to collating

Specialist time disappears into chasing and re-keying. Quality, Technical and Sourcing teams spend their week collating data, with little left for strategy and decisions.

From live checks to board-level reporting.

See risk, quality and cost across the product lifecycle, with ready-to-use reporting, plus Power BI for anything bespoke. Choose one to see what it covers.

Ask a reporting question, from any AI assistant

The Foods Connected MCP lets Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini read your business's data through a curated knowledge layer. Ask questions in plain English. Each answer shows exactly what was found and how.

Teams ask things like: “Which suppliers haven’t been audited in over 12 months?” · “Show yield performance by supplier across cut families.”

FAQs

Answers to the questions asked most often about reporting and analytics.

What are food supply chain analytics?
Food supply chain analytics is the practice of using supplier, quality, production, procurement and compliance data to track performance against targets and spot risk earlier. In Foods Connected it comes from the same verified records teams already work in, so there is no separate data set to reconcile.
What is supplier performance management?
Supplier performance management is how suppliers are judged over time, not just at approval. Foods Connected brings each supplier’s results together in scorecards and rankings, so it is clear who is performing and who needs attention.
Can Microsoft Power BI be used with Foods Connected reporting?
Yes. Microsoft Power BI can use the data managed in Foods Connected, so teams can build their own dashboards alongside the built-in reports. Foods Connected analysts can help get started, and training is available for teams.
Which AI assistants can query Foods Connected data?
Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini can all connect, so teams can keep using whichever they already prefer. Questions are answered from the data held in the Foods Connected account.
What reports are built into Foods Connected?
Every report draws on live platform data, covering supplier performance, procurement, facility production, supply chain planning, product quality, external market data, and CSR and ESG. For anything bespoke, Microsoft Power BI is available, with Foods Connected analysts on hand.
Is it safe to connect an AI assistant to supply chain data?
Yes. AI assistant access is read-only and runs as the signed-in user, so the assistant only sees what that user can see. It signs in with OAuth 2.0, and every answer shows its working. Foods Connected is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and independently penetration tested.
What is MCP and how does it work with Foods Connected?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to business data. Foods Connected provides an MCP service, so the assistant a team already uses can answer questions from verified supply chain data.
